The traces of the box are easy to see. 

I think the reason is that the box has a stable shape consisting of horizontal and vertical surfaces, and is a familiar shape in our lives. 

The fact that the inside of the box is empty gives us a sign of a change. 

This design of the incense holder has a wavy shape, but we know it was originally a box. 

And the smoke of incense flows out through the gap of wavy shape. 

What can we feel at that time? There are natural phenomena and pleasant feeling based on them. 

But there is a small disruption of sense caused by traces of a nonexistent phenomenon. 

I think that using products with filling in the blanks of products is recovering the richness of feeling something in our lives. 

箱の痕跡は分かり易い。

水平垂直の平面で構成される安定した形であり、生活で見慣れた形なのが理由だと思う。

内側が空なのも変化の前触れを想起させる。

このデザインでも、何かになびいた形をしているが原形は箱だったと分かる。

そしてお香の煙は、なびいた隙間から流れ出る。

その時、私達は何を感じることができるだろう。

自然現象とそれに基づく心地よい感覚。

でもそこには実在しない現象の痕跡が引き起こす感覚の揺らぎ。

道具が持つ空白を人が埋めながら使うことは、

何かを感じ取ることの豊かさを暮らしの中で回復させることだと思う。
