おとなが使う家具とこどもが遊ぶ遊具が同じものならば、何気ない会話やふれあいが生まれるのではないか。

そして、そんな何気ない関わりが増えることは、おとなへの関心やこどもへの理解が深まることに繋がっていくではないか。

こどもにとってテーブルの下は、広くもあり、狭くもあり、薄暗く、空想の膨らむ空間だと思う。

そんなテーブルの下がもっと面白くできないかと考えた。

このテーブルは、こどもがぶら下がったり、おもちゃや布を引っ掛けて秘密基地にしたり、自由に想像をふくらませて遊ぶことができる。

おとなはテーブルでコーヒーを飲んだり、本を読んだり、家事をすることができる。

その時、「これ見て、こんなのできるよ。」や「応答せよ。お菓子が見つかりましたー。」などの会話が生まれるかもしれない。

また、こどもがおとなの脚に登ってきたり、おとながこどもをくすぐって遊びの邪魔したりといった触れ合いが生まれるかもしれない。

そんな風にこのテーブルの周りで過ごすことで、

互いを意識しなくても会話や触れ合いが生まれ、おとなとこどもの何気ない関わりが増えれば良いと思う。

This table can be used as a secret base where children can hang themselves, hang toys and clothes, and play freely with their imaginations.

Adults can drink coffee, read books, or do household chores at the table.

Then they can say, "Look at this, I can do something like this." or "Answer me. I found some snacks."

Or children may climb up on adults' legs, or adults may tickle children and interrupt their play.
